TWM: Stress

I don't like stress. I obviously know that some stress is a necessity and there will always be stress. Lately, though, I've been feeling a little like I'm getting more than my fair share. I hope that this means when we retire and move to Thailand that I don't have to do a damn thing except hang out in the jungle and look at the ladyboys all day (that sounds pretty stress free...also, Sam didn't know what ladyboys were, so I had to show her....incidentally and separately, there are not enough pictures online that clearly show female to male transgendered SRS genitalia results).

Olive lost a tooth yesterday, and by lost i mean it was hanging there and she was scratching at it and I had to pull her little toothy. She lost both of those main baby canine teeth in one week (aren't they all canine teeth though? OH, SO PUNNY!). Today at puppy class she was kinda pissed off and barking a lot at people and T-Bone (one of the other dogs in class). It didn't even occur to me that she was in pain...We got home and I realized her gum was kinda swollen where the tooth came out. I gave her a baby aspirin and put some oragel on it and she seems much calmer now. Also, she spends every day with me and has started to get too protective. I'm breaking that behavior right now.

I just hit another weight goal..which makes me feel good. Eventually I'll be at my goal and everything will be peachy.

Anyway, back to stress. I have been very stressed lately. Money, the house, the pets, and most of all, my health. Alex and I have decided to definitely invest in a robot body for me...I said I don't want the first model though (like the first ipods). I want the kinks to be worked out first. He also said then I couldn't get pregnant...so we're gonna wait till I stretch this body back out with kids and use it all up and then after the kids i'm getting the robot body and a nice shiny new robogina. I joke, yes, but sometimes I wonder why my brain and body can't live in harmony. That's all I really want.

I am so obsessed with Madonna's new album. I know it's not the greatest thing in the world, but I absolutely love it. Kanye and Pharrell!! Oh yeah, Madonna too.

I saw sex and the city yesterday with Sam and Alex. It was tons of fun and I love when Sam visits. Also, the movie was chuckle worthy in quite a few spots...though I do have my complaints.

In the last two weeks, John Cusack has placed himself directly (fucking #1) at the top of the list of my people who I will absolutely punch in the face if I ever see them walking down the street. And don't think I won't do it, because I will.

YOU HEAR THAT CUSACK? IT'S ON, MY MAN!

p.s. 99 degrees is apparently my limit, because after going grocery shopping today I passed out at home.

The Raw Materials

I went through the entire house before any of our stuff arrived (also, it was filthy and had to be completely scrubbed because the previous owners left it all dirty..it was gross) and took a ton of pictures to be my "before" pictures before I go and start doing anything at all to the house.

And here they are..I realized I forgot to take one of the back yard or front yard..but I'll do that soon.

that's the closet..you can't see how awesome..but it is like that on the other side too (the right side) and it goes ALL the way up the the ceiling...it's so freaking huge!!!


also not pictured, laundry room or garage..but those rooms suck anyway.

I can't wait to do stuff all over this place!!!! I love all the natural light, the ceilings and the open floorplan. This is basically my dream house.

Intro: What I want from this.

I have always figured myself as a bit of a crafty person. I am pretty good at getting the looks I want without spending a ton of money. Now that we just bought a house, I finally have my reason and resources to go nuts and just make my home reflect our personality and style. I want to make it really feel like home.

Now I'm not saying everything's going to be exciting or uber designed...because it's not..i'm not a designer or a carpenter or a furniture maker or an interior decorator. Basically this is just a place for me to organize and show off my various crafts and improvements and domestic crap. Onward and Upward!
